Mendefera City Mines

The Dwarf comes back with a writ. Excuse me miss. This here writ will allow you to mine further in. There is more material there than there is here. I think ye'll find it much better mining. With that the Dwarf hands Alexi the writ and leaves.

Alexi was surprised by the dwarf. She accepts the writ and then gets back to mining. She sees another glint and calls the dwarf back over who gives her a big goofy grin before mining out the diamond. As he thanks her and leaves Alexi puts her gear near Tokara and then writes him a note saying that she is further in and will be back out in a little while. She sets her keep pile near him with a little note on that saying that it was her keep pile and sets a note on his pile saying that it was his. She then took her bottoms backpack and her folding pickaxe with her and went to go further into the mine.

Alexi returns to the first section of the mine near where Tokara is. When she finds him she empties her bag and places the sapphire block in her keep pile and puts the rest of the iron silver and gold from her keep pile into the Tokara pile. Now with an empty bottoms backpack again she heads back to the deeper section of the mine hoping to find more good material. She figured that the reason Tokara was still sleeping was that he was still tired from the trip that his group had just finished.

Alexi enters the entrance area of the mine and takes the material out of her bottoms backpack and puts it into the Tokara keep pile. She then goes back to the deeper area of the mine as she is eager to continue mining. She figures that this will probably be her last trip as she wouldn't be able to mine much longer before it would start getting dark out and she definitely did not want to try mining in here at night. She wondered what that was like but she definitely didn't want to find out.

Alexi comes back towards the entrance of the mines and then sees where Tokara had been.  She put all of her excess material into Tokara's pile and then puts her keep pile into the bottoms backpack except for the Golden Star Sapphire which she holds in her hands.  She is trying to decide whether to wake Tokara up or not.  She decides to wait a minute before she wakes him up.  She is ready to get out of the mine as she is really sore from all of the mining. She leaves another note saying that she was leaving for the city and that she'd meet back up with him at the inn.

Tokara would be awoken by a horses whinny and a dwarfs grumpy tone. “hay mister your horse cant be left out side the cave.” the dwarfs would hands tokara the raines, grabbing them he stand up as a small puppy dog pokes his head out of a backpack. He held his head groaning. “oh that right horse killers like horses.” the dwarf walked off grumbling shaking his head.


Tokara looked around a was startled by the amount of stuff on the ground with a note on it. Looking at it he read the note and nodded at it. He started throw all the items in to his bag. “by the three sisters she worked her ass off. Maybe keeping her around might be good.” with this tokara would saddle up on to his horse. He then looked at the rock and swung his pickaxe one last time to see what hi might get.

With nothing but rocks tokara got up on to his horse and holds crackers. He rides soot out towards the entrance. The saddle back over his shoulders, he then thinks about what he might do. “soot travel fast to the blacksmiths.” with that he trots her out to the cave entrance where she rears up and whines as he yeahs her forward to Mendefera. She rides fast even for a endurance horse it seemed tokaras weight was nothing to this fine young horse. “ride fast soot. Who knows how long I have slept this day. Time is of the essence.” he rides her as had as she could ride for a short distance seeing her speed for himself.

Koroseta enters the mine wearing her new armor and walks in looking for a place to mine. As she enters further in she eventually finds a good unoccupied spot. She takes out her folding pickaxe, unfolding it and the starts mining away at the rock that was in front of her. She enjoys being in here, mining away by herself with the only sound being the metrenome of the pickaxes. One might think that it would be annoying but to her for some reason it was relaxing.

As she mines Koroseta is happily surprised by what she first runs into.  It's not rock as she would expect.  She comes to iron ore right off and mines out the ore.  It would appear that there was a couple pounds of it here.  She mines it out and then places it into her pack.  

After she is finished putting the ore away she goes back to mining at a pretty consistant pace.  She really is enjoying this.

As she continues mining she doesn't run into more iron ore, but that's not to say that she didn't run into something beneficial. She runs into some coal. Actually it's quite a bit of coal. She mines it continually, carefully getting it out and when she is through she has about 10 pounds of coal. She puts the coal away in her bag as it would be useful for smelting later. She then returns to mining.

So far Koroseta had been pretty lucky with first running into iron and then running into a good deal of coal. Continuing mining she runs into some more iron right off. There doesn't seem to be as much here as there was last time but every little bit counts. After she is done carefully extracting the ore she finds that there was only about 1 pound of it there. Regardless it is still good to have and she puts it into her bag before continuing mining.

As Koroseta continues mining the good luck continues as she runs into some gold. She's about to try and mine it but then she thinks better of it as she calls over a dwarf to come and mine it out. The dwarf thanks her and mines it out with unbelievable speed. He tells her to call him over anytime she wants him to mine something. She then goes right back to work mining, hoping the luck will continue but figuring that she was due a drought sometime soon.

Wow....

As Koroseta continues mining she is surprised to come to some silver. She calls the dwarf back over and again he makes quick work of the extraction and goes back to where he had been mining. She goes back to mining amazed at how much luck she is having so far and now she is starting to really worry about what it will be like when she finally does have that drought that she knows will come.

Mining through the material Koroseta is surprised to find that her hot streak continues as she runs into a little bit more iron. She carefully extracts the iron and finds that its about a pound. She puts the pound of iron in her bag with the rest of the materials. She then takes a break. She doesn't really want to as she is on a hot streak but at the same time, it wasn't going anywhere. After about 5 minutes she gets back up and continues mining.

As she gets back to mining she comes to a very large coal deposit. She starts carefully extracting it. After what seems like a long time she is finished. It appears that she has 20 pounds of coal from the one deposit! She puts the ore away with the rest and then gets right back to mining. Looking over at the nearest dwarf she can't help but notice that he is looking pretty jealous. She looks away and focuses back on her mining.
