Mendefera City Mines

Alexi is continuing mining and is going through rock. It is unexciting but she seems to be desensitized to it by now. I guess that's part of mining and getting used to it. She continues mining and is actually enjoying even going through the rock. She was liking the whole experience of mining more than she had expected and it was surprising her immensely. Regardless she continues mining through the rock. It had been so long since she had found a gem.

As Alexi continues mining through the rock she comes into another vein of coal. It is a small vein for coal, but it would be a huge vein if it was anything else. She mines out the coal and ends up with ten pounds of coal that she takes over to the pile of material she was giving Tokara. She then gets back to mining again. She is amazed how long it has been since she has found a gem. It would be rather frustrating to her if it wasn't for the fact that she had improved so much in her mining.

Alexi continues mining and gets into a large a vein of iron. She mines it out and then puts what amounts to 3 pounds of iron into the pile of material she is giving Tokara. She then goes right back to mining and is starting to get frustrated with how long it has been since she had came across any gems. The gems were the only thing that were worth a lot of money and without mining any she was really for the most part wasting her time and effort though she was still enjoying it quite a bit.

Alexi mines through more and more rock. The rock all looked the same and was really repetitive. She was getting really frustrated about the lack of gems lately. She was surprised it had been so long, but after all there was a reason why gems were valuable and it wasn't just because they were pretty. She continues mining through the rock. She also wouldn't mind finding silver or gold as that could be helpful for enchanting as well as the gems would be as the gold or silver could be used for accessories.

As Alexi is mining rocks she is finding that they are all very similar. As she mines the rocks that were discovered because she had mined rocks before she is hoping there wont be more rocks ahead of her before she finds something valuable. She is focusing hard trying to see a gem somewhere. Of course no matter how hard you look for something you won't see it if it isn't there. She just continues mining and soldiering on trying to get back to finding something useful again.

(The gem roll was a 20 which is a unique gem.  It's about twice as rare as a diamond or onyx but it can be mined at any level.  The value is in the 48k-64k range though there are uses for it that might make you want to keep it.  This gem is up to you on what it is, it can be a rare variation of a gem like a chocolate diamond, or a star sapphire.)

As Alexi keeps on mining she comes to a glint of golden yellow. She mines around it and is amazed to see that it is a golden star sapphire. She actually successfully mines it out and puts it down in her keep pile. She then moves 5 pounds of iron over to the Tokara pile. She goes back to mining. She was amazed that she had successfully mined out that unique gem. As she was mining she would occasionally look over to make sure no one was messing with her stuff.

Alexi continued mining and found her way into a bunch of rock not that that would be surprising at all. She continued mining through all of the rock without any complaining as she knew that she would eventually get to something good again though she is figuring that the golden star sapphire is a once in a lifetime find and she knows better than to expect to find another one of those again. As she continues mining through the rock she is starting to get a little tired again.

Alexi continues mining through the mass of rock and over a little bit of time comes to a little bit of iron. She then mines the iron out of the rock and puts it in the pile of material that will be given to Tokara. She then looks over his pile and then hers before going back to mining again. As she does so she is happy that she has gotten as much as she had so far as she has definitely blasted past the expectations that other people had had for her. Heck she had blasted past her own expectations.

Alexi continues mining and is back into a section where there is rock again. It was rather repetitive and to be expected. As she mines through the rock she stops for a second to take a short break. As she does so she wipes her brow and then picks her pickaxe back up again. She goes back to mining and is expecting fully to continually run into rock as karma would probably even everything out again after having found such a unique gem. Sure others were around but their rarity was immense.

Alexi continues mining through rock when she sees a glint in the rock. She calls a dwarf over to mine it and when he is done mining it he thanks her and then leaves. Alexi takes a short break and realizes that Tokara has fallen asleep. She sits down for a moment to take a break and realizes that Crackers is asleep next to Tokara as well. She then gets back up and then goes right back to mining. She is mining through even more rock not that that should be a surprise.
