As Koreseta continues mining she once again comes into a little pocket of iron ore.  She mines it out and again there is about a pound of iron ore.  Now she has a total of around 5 pounds of iron ore to go with 30 pounds of coal.  She would no doubt sell the excess coal.  She places everything in her bag and goes back to mining, dreading when her luck would eventually run out.  Maybe if she was lucky someone else was having the bad luck.

As she continues mining she wonders when her streak of luck runs out. She is quick to get her answer as she runs into a mass of rock that she has to get out of the way before she continues. She wonders how much rock there would be exactly. She decides that this would be a good time to take a break from what she was doing. She sits down for a minute before continuing mining. She hopes to get through the rock to something good but she figures it will be a while where she had just had such a good streak of luck. She then gets back up and resumes mining.

Sure enough Koroseta's concerns are validated as she gets through to even more hard rock. The most annoying part of this was just how hard it was to get through this harder rock. She works her way through it rather well though. As she finally is through the hard rock and back into dirt she hopes that this won't last very long and maybe that she would finally find a gem, the one thing that made mining really profitable.

Gem is emerald. It can be turned in for 2000 favor. You are not skilled enough to mine it.

As Koroseta mines she comes across another section of iron. She extracts it carefully making her total iron poundage be 7 pounds. She then sees a glint of green. She calls over a dwarf trying to make sure not to break it. He mines it out and then he thanks her for letting her mine it. She then returns to mining, thankful that she had the fortune to get both iron and emerald so close together. She knows she probably wont be so lucky again right off.

Koroseta continues mining through and comes to more of that frustrating rock that is hard to mine through. She sighs and before she even starts to excavate it she takes a short break. She sits down for a moment before getting back up. She starts excavating the rock. After quite a time she gets through it and back into the regular dirt which is much easier to mine through. She figures that she should leave when she has around 10 pounds of iron.

Koroseta continues mining and comes across some more iron. She figures that this will get her close to her 10 pound quota. She carefully excavates it. She is a little disappointed that it is only about a couple of pound of iron which would leave her a pound short. She puts it with her other ore and then she goes back to mining again. She is getting pretty tired from her mining for so long and even after she was done she had decided that she was going to go and gather sone wood for carving out arrow shafts and a bow or two.

She continues mining and is hoping to run into some more iron right off so that she can get going. She unfortunately runs into more of that annoying hard rock. She mines it out as she is trying to get through it quickly. It takes her longer than usual to get through the rock this time but she does. She continues on and stays focused so she can get done as soon as possible. She hopes to get to more iron again.

As she continues mining she continues on and comes to some iron ore. She mines it out and then realizes that she has about 10 pounds of iron ore. She puts it with her other ore and gets everything packed up. She thanks the dwarf there that had mined out some stuff and then she makes her way back to the entrance of the mine. With one last look around Koroseta goes outside of the mine.

Andras enters the mines after having shown a grumpy dwarf the writ and having been allowed to travel into the mine. He goes in a ways until he finds a place with enough room for him to mine in and then he sets his empty bag there. He unfolds his folding pickaxe and then examines the rock as if he actually knows what he's doing, which he does not. He then proceeds to violently attempt to mine the rock in front of him.

Alexi greets the dwarf at the entrance of the mine who doesn't ask for her writ because of the favor that she has with them. She walks into the mine and sets up past Andras. She then thinks for a second and decides to take a short nap since she figures that the man that she had followed was actually a little boring and that with his size he could probably mine for quite some time without him needing to take a break.

(Keep posting without me, so you can mine without having to wait.)

While Andras is not expert miner when he comes to both the gold and the sapphire he knows that he isn't delicate enough yet to successfully mine out the soft gold and the fragile sapphire. He calls a dwarf over who is more than happy to mine it out for him if Andras lets him keep the material which he does. After the dwarf does so and then leaves Andras resumes his mining again in hopes of getting a ton of iron ore.
