As Koroseta continues to mine she is in more and more rock. Just layer upon layer of rock. It makes her wonder if she should try a different spot or not as this spot had kind of run dry as of late. She then remembers how the first spot was though and figured that this must have been for the most part the norm as the first spot was much slower going. She then goes back to focusing on mining some more which at this point was becoming difficult for her.

Koroseta continues mining through rocks. It really was tiring work and for the last bit she had nothing to show for it other than rocks, rocks and more rocks. As she continues mining she continues to dig through layers of rock. She looks back at the Mercenary to see what he is doing and he is playing what looks like tic tac toe with a bored looking dwarf that was there with him. She then goes back to her mining focusing on it. She's thankful that she isn't in the mercenary's position. It makes her rethink her earlier idea of joining the mercs guild.

As Koroseta continues to mine she continues to fail to find anything of interest. This was a pretty big drought of materials. Perhaps she had gotten out of the main area of the mine. She would try a little bit longer to find more useable material in this section before she headed out for either a different section of the mine or back to the city of Mendefera. What she would do she wasn't sure yet.

Koroseta mines through yet MORE rock. This was going to drive her nuts if she didn't get back into some more iron ore soon. That's when she notices a green sparkle. It looked as though it was an emerald which was the first one she had seen in here so far. She tries to mine it out but she shatters it on the spot like she normally did with the rare and valuable gems. Any boost in morale she had was gone now after that. She continues mining.

Koroseta continues mining through rock. If it wasn't for that emerald that she had just run into she would have stopped where she wasn't going through any useful ore. Thanks to the emerald though she was hoping that it was just a short term slump of finding nothing but rocks and things that she wasn't skilled enough to successfully mine yet. As she continues mining she realizes that the mercenary is playing some other game with a bored dwarf.

Koroseta continues mining through more rocks. This was one heck of a slump she was in mining. That's when she sees a sparkle of green again in the rocks. She tries to mine it out of the rock successfully without shattering yet somehow even though she was specifically trying not to she shatters it. She then goes back to mining again. She was about at her end at this point as far as mining was concerned, it was wearing her out and she wasn't getting anything for doing it anymore.

Koroseta's hardwork finally pays off as she gets into two more pounds or iron and mines it out. She puts the two pounds of iron in her bag and then sees a glimmer of blue. She then mines out around the gem and gets the sapphire mined out. She puts it in her pack and realizes that she is at the max weight she can carry considering all of the weapons on her. She walks over to the mercenary. "Ready?" The mercenary nods and then they both leave the mine.

Alexi shows her writ and then travels into the mine. She picks a location that doesn't look quite as used as the others and then takes out her folding pick axe. She unfolds it and then starts swinging at the rock. The impact from it surprises her a little. It had been a bit since she had last mined. She wasn't sure if she would be able to mine for very long at the rate she was probably going to tire. Then again if she decided to put effort into something she could be pretty bull headed, but it was rare that she ever put a ton of effort into anything.

Alexi mines into some silver but as she tries to gather it she brutally maims the silver so that it is almost unusable. She continues mining hoping that she doesn't have more failure like that. It would get old fast. As she continues along she starts to work up a sweat. She definitely was out of shape to be doing this but she needed the money and when she was in need of money she would put more effort than normal into her work. She is still hoping to find a gem she can harvest but she decides that she would be happy with mining some iron as well as she knew she could successfully mine iron while she was unsure about gems.

As Alexi continues mining she digs through a bunch of rock. She frowns as she does so as she is not finding any valuable materials here. Even if she was mining rock this rock was crumbling making it completely worthless. She remembered why she would rather be in a cozy place next to a fire reading a book. She sighed, maybe if she didn't rely on her magic abilities for so much random stuff she wouldn't be so out of shape. There was no way she was going to stop doing it though. It was too convenient.

Finally some iron!  says Alexi excitedly as she mines through the iron ore.  The value per pound of iron is not all that great but it is better than nothing.  She is careful as she extracts the ore with the pickaxe, she is going a bit slower than she probably needs but she wants to be careful to get the iron ore out cleanly.  She continues at it and as she does so a dwarf comes by and speaks to her.

If ye donate any of the material to us at the mine we can build a credit for ye and if ya reach 10000 favor we'll let you further into the mine where there are better materials.  The rate that you gain favor is half of the value of the material that you donate.

Alexi continues mining out the iron ore and finishes with the two pounds. She tells the dwarf that any that she puts in the location she put the iron could be taken and used for favor. She then goes back to mining and hopes to get into more iron but she doesn't expect to have that happen again so soon. She isn't concerned about gems right now because she isn't sure that she would be able to successfully mine any of it. After all if you break it wrong it would be rather useless more than likely.
