The Ironhurst Iron Mine

As Koroseta continues mining through all of the rock that is plaguing her she eventually, finally comes to some iron ore. A lot of iron ore actually as it is a rather large fine. She mines the iron ore out and sets it near her pack with the other thirteen pounds of iron ore. She figures that now she has about 18 pounds of iron ore with her which would mean that the chunk that she had just mined out was about 5 pounds.

As Koroseta finishes placing the ore near her pack she resumes mining and resumes running into all of that rock. In the middle of the rock however she runs into a section where there is another sapphire. She is careful as she extracts the sapphire and she places it with her two other chunks of sapphire. This brings her total weight in materials up to thirty six pounds. This is about a third of yesterday's quota though she does not have a quota set for today.

After she places the sapphire with her other material Koroseta returns to mining, now expecting to just find more rock. To her pleasant surprise she actually runs into another large vein of iron ore that she can mine. She extracts it and sets it with the eighteen pounds of iron ore that she had already mined. Now she has twenty three pounds because she had just mined out five pounds of iron ore from that last vein.

As Koroseta continues mining she comes into another section of iron ore. She extracts the roughly three pounds of iron ore and then sees a glint of blue again. Mining it out she finds that it is another block of sapphire. She places both the block of sapphire and the three pounds of iron with her other materials that she has mined so far today. She then goes back to mining as she hasn't even been thinking about the egg for a while now.

Koroseta continues mining and before very long at all she has come across another vein of iron ore. This one was not the biggest that she had ever seen before but it was bigger than average. She mines it out and after having extracted it she figures that it was about four pounds in total. She sets the four pounds with the other twenty six pound of iron ore before she returns to mining again.

Koroseta continues mining and hits that hard rock again. She stops for a second to wipe her brow before she resumes. She makes pretty quick work of the rock and as she gets through it she looks over her total materials so far. She has three pounds of natural steel and 30 pounds of iron ore and four five pound blocks of raw sapphire material. The latter part really surprised her as she had hit that pretty heavily.

Suddenly the egg with Koroseta starts wiggling back and forth and one small spot on it starts to crack.

As Koroseta continues mining she comes across another pound of Natural steel. She extracts it and places it with her other 3 pounds of steel. Then, as she is near her pack she sees that the egg is starting to be broke open. She gently takes it out of the pack and sets it down near the pack she kneels in front of it and waits in anticipation to see what will hatch from this rather large egg.

Suddenly the egg bursts open and shatters as a rainbow bird about the size of a full grown seagull spreads it's wings. It has what appears to be a crystal beak, eight crystal feathers on each wing and a couple of crystal pinions. It squawks as it sees Koroseta and starts squawking repeatedly and hopping up and down looking at Koroseta, as if it wants food. Suddenly it turns and runs over to your gem pile and starts eating into one of the raw gems.

Koroseta watches as the bird squawks at her and then goes to eating one of the blocks of gem. She lets it and then continues mining into the rock not really keeping a super close eye on the bird. She is hoping to find more iron but does not expect to right off. She is also hoping that the bird wouldn't eat all of her gems. She stops for a second to look at it. I'll call you Nuanua because of your rainbow feathers.

As Nuanua continues eating the raw block of gem, Koroseta continues mining, having no luck other than rock. After a short while however, Nuanua squawks and starts pecking towards the side of where she had mined out already. She goes over and Nuanua excitedly squawks but gives her some room. Are you telling me I should mine here?

She shrugs and then mines into the spot where Nuanua had told her to. She almost immediately comes to a block of raw sapphire. Wow! That's incredible! She says as she mines it out and places it with her other material. She then packs everything up. Well, let's head back into town. I'll sell the gems and then we can deposit the material into the Waterfall Bank.

4 Pounds Natural Steel, 30 Pounds Iron Ore, 5 pound block of Raw Sapphire x4

As Koroseta leaves, Nuanua squawks and nudges at Koroseta's leg. Figuring that since Nuanua was about the size of a large cockatoo it could perhaps perch on her shoulder. She kneels down and extends her arm and Nuanua climbs onto her arm carefully, and as Koroseta stands up it perches on her shoulder. Koroseta then double checks to see if she has everything. She finds that she does and so she exits the mine to go back to Mendefera.

Koroseta and Nuanua enter the Ironhurst Iron Mines and Koroseta heads over to where she had been mining the previous afternoon to continue along her vein of ore as not to offend anyone else there at the mine. She sets her gear down and pulls out and unfolds her foldable pickaxe. The then makes sure that Nuanua is content before she goes back to mining on the material with her pickaxe, she is using normal swings, not overly trying to conserve energy but not trying to waste it either.

Koroseta continues mining along and Nuanua is watching her and occassionally squawking in anticipation. As Koroseta continues along she comes into a little bit of iron ore, almost not enough to even call it a vein of it really. She mines it out and then sets it near her pack before going right back to mining. Meanwhile Nuanua is kind of pecking at the iron ore but not eating it, as if it's checking it for something.

Koroseta continues mining and Nuanua finishes inspecting the iron ore and goes back to watching and squawking at Koroseta as she does mine. Nuanua does not get to see much though as all Koroseta is mining through is rock, rock and even more rock. Of course occasionally there is some dirt or gravel that she is making her way through, but for the most part it is just rock and no really useful materials that she would keep.
