The Start of .... Something (Travel)

Avril tries to avoid the bandit's vertical slashing attack, but fails to, and gets cut on her shoulder by the bandit's dagger. She then Draws another arrow and shoots it almost point blank at the attacking bandit. Her aim might be a little shaky from having just gotten attacked but where the attack is such close range she figures that it would be harder to miss the bandit than it would be to hit the bandit.

((Made a slight mistake in last NPC post with Falabella, made an inconsistency mistake is post with Avril. Both were fixable by editing out a line from an earlier post which was 'The previously uninjured bandit charges at Falabella with a dagger, however he is too far away to be in range for him to attack her yet.' The mistakes with this were 1. In the format I have been using in the post after Falabella's, the only thing regarding her should be if her attacks hit or not, the reaction to this should be in the post before Falabella's next. 2. In the post that Avril has already responded to and taken an attack from, the bandit wielded a dagger. As it states in that line, a different bandit with a dagger attacked Falabella. The problem with this is that I had stated earlier that there were 2 sword wielders and 1 dagger wielder facing her and there are reasons for me wanting to keep it that way as there were 4 sword wielders and 4 dagger wielders total.))

Avril's arrow again hits its mark, this time in the chest. A few inches to the side and it would have been lethal.

The bandit that was uninjured prior to Falabella's surprise attack charges at her with his sword. He is not however in the range to be able to attack Falabella as of yet.

Falabella releases her Shriek at the three targeted bandits, the two on Avril and the one charging her. She knew she had enough time to prepare for her next attack, so she grabs 4 more needles, readying them for her next attack. She was noticing the fights around her. Tokara was being ignored, thank god... if they had ganged up on him in his state... Sidney was being odd, but if it worked out, who cared that he put his weapons away... Avril was under direct attack, that was the worry. If she can't block with anything, she will continue to get hurt quickly.

*what should I do... attack multiple at once or one at a time. If I finish off my one I can help her after, but if she keeps getting hit it may be too late... Well, for now I have to at least deal with not dieing...*

All three of the bandits that Falabella aims her shriek at cover their ears in pain giving a short hesitation in their actions.

The bandit with an arrow in his knee and still recovering from the shriek starts to hobble towards Tokara thinking that Tokara may be an easy kill for him. He holds onto his sword and is noticeably in pain.

Tokara saw the bandit that was limping his way at him. Smiling tokara put the sword on his back like before and cracked his knucles. “you might know where my stuff is.” Tokara was going to beat the info out of this badit if he could. He wanted to know where his armor was being kept. Seeing as he then clued in about the mission that sidney picked up. “hey Sidney let’s leave at least one breathing.”

The bandit that had been limping towards Tokara hesitates. He looks at Tokara's sword. He then looks around the battlefield before wrenching the arrow out from his knee without even a grimace.

The two that Sidney are holding onto fight back against Sidney while he continues to hold them. One tries to stomp his foot and the other one punches at Sidney's face.

Sidney stays put continuing his electrical attack by keeping hold. The stomp hurts and makes him grimace and as he opens his eyes back up from the grimace he sees the fist connect with his jaw. It cuts his lip open a bit, but he still figures that he can do more damage to them than they can him if he can just continue with the electrical attack.

The bandits continue getting jolted by Sidney.

The bandit that Avril had hit in the chest with an arrow staggers. This one he does not dare to snap off due to location. Then with Falabella's shriek he staggers again dropping his dagger to cover his ears. He then hesitates before picking his dagger up, leaving him open to an attack from Avril.

Bandit 4+5 = 6 Health

Avril looks at the bandit and then gets and idea that where she is being forced into a close range fight she should make a fighting style change. In the bandit's lapse in judgement dropping his guard Avril uses the time to tie her bow to her back pack straps a little uncomfortably. She then takes two arrows out, one in each hand and tries to stab them into the bandit's shoulder area with as much force as she could.

(I have taken 3 damage so far, I did not post it before.)

As the attack is point blank and the bandit was recovering from shriek, both of the arrows stab into his shoulder region.

The bandit that had been charging Falabella staggers in reaction to her screech. The stagger stops his charge long enough to leave him open to attack from Falabella as his hesitation costs him.

[Bandit 2 = 6 Health]

Taking advantage of any hesitation from the bandits, Falabella throws all 4 of the Damaging Needles that were in her hands at the bandit coming after her. She grabs her remaining 2 Needles, readying for her next attack. Still at a distance from her target, she can see the others around her. *Way to go Avril! She's showing courage where I had thought she might run, Nice* Tokara's comment about leaving one alive seemed to be enough to make his bandit's conviction waiver... and Sidney was still holdng onto his magic, hopefully he wouldn't keep getting pounded in the meantime...

She sees her first 4 on the ground after the bandits pulled them from their bodies, and wishes she could grab them right now, but she would have to walk toward her attacker. *I'll need to get more needles if I plan on doing much more of this... Maybe I can get 10 more made later... if we survive*

-3 Stamina (15 energy) = 20 Energy
still at 50 Mana and full health

The bandit that Falabella had her aim on is hit by all of the needles.

Meanwhile, the bandit that had previously had the arrow in his knee backs up against a tree. He puts one hand on the tree and one on his injured knee. Some of the leaves on the tree lose a little color and fall off from it as if it is Autumn. He stands up and hops a couple of times showing no pain. "There we go, all better." He then starts walking back towards Tokara, not showing any aggression though, oddly enough.

Bandit falabella attacked = 8 health

Tokara watched the bandit and started towards him. “so you can heal. Good draw your weapon I going to take you out with my bare hands.” tokara said that as he got in a stance ready to attack. He wasn’t going to attack first unless the bandit did. It wasn’t in his moral codes to attack an human enemy that didn’t have a weapon out. Tokara was actually kind of mad the bandit didn’t seem to fight back as much as he hoped. Then again he did just kill three in one strike.

The bandits that Sidney is holding onto are now desperate to break free. They both take their bladed weapons and slash at where Sidney's hands are. If he doesn't let go, he will take a nasty attack to his wrists or hands. The bandits as a whole had definitely not expected this good of a fight from any of the party.

Sidney quickly lets go and takes a step back. The blood from his cut lip trickles down to his tongue. At the taste of it Sid's eyes close and then open wide. His facial expression grows psychotically excited. He licks his lip and then starts talking under his breath. "What's that? Oh, right. That sounds good." He then looks towards the bandits. "I'm sorry, but it looks like I'm going to kill you now. Don't worry, I was just told that it will be painful, gory and best of all, extremely bloody."

He then unsheathes his daggers, spinning them around once and then lunging forward at the bandits with much quicker speed than it had seemed he was capable of earlier. He aims at both of the bandits' throats.

Stamina -4

The bandits were disturbed by Sidney's behavior. They were also caught off guard by his sudden burst of speed. They did not react in time to avoid the attack. The bandits drop their weapons and before they can try to cover their wounds which are gushing out blood, they drop to the ground. Whether it is just death, or that they passed out from blood loss is unknown. Either way, their deaths are imminent.

The bandit that Avril had stabbed the arrows into cries out in pain. He had not expected an archer to be willing to fight close range. He swings his blade horizontally at Avril.

Avril takes that attack as well on her side. She grimaces in pain and is not used to it. She's lucky that she's not all alone as if she were there would be no way she could afford to take the damage. She pulls out two more arrows and stabs those at the bandit as well hoping to have those hit as well. The bandit didn't seem to be able to take much more and Avril was hoping she could finish him soon.

69 Health now

Again Avril succeeds and manages to stab the Bandit, this time in the other shoulder. The bandit cringes as the arrows stab into his shoulder.

The bandit Falabella had been attacking gets within range and slashes horizontally from left to right at her. He is attacking aggressively as he has just now gotten his first chance to attack Falabella after having been hit multiple times by her.

Falabella doesn't miss a beat and as soon as he was in range of her, she rushes even closer to the bandit. Only an inch or two separate her from his body, too close for him to use his sword properly with a swinging motion. Reaching backward for added power, she stabs in an upward motion with the Damaging Needle in her left hand. She is aiming for his abdomen, not risking a rib blocking her attack. With her right hand, and last Damaging Needle, she slashes at his left inner thigh, aiming for his Femoral Artery. Her training as an Acupuncturist had given her a more than detailed view of the human body... Centaurs were more difficult, but humans she had memorized.

((If the abdominal hit lands, it will do damage to her due to no hilt and her hand slipping, cutting herself. Only with the stab, the slash doesn't cause a slip))

Falabella's attack strikes the bandit as aimed due to the suddenness of the attack and how close Falabella was when she did it.

Meanwhile the bandit facing Tokara stays put instead of accepting Tokara's challenge. "I'm not going to fight. Instead I'm going to inquire. Where was it that you got that sword? I've not heard of that sword in a long time, and that's odd for someone in my profession."

Falabella bandit 6 Health

Tokara would then look at the bandit, who seemed to be more interested in his sword then fighting. This started to make tokara wondered what was so important about this sword. “if I told how I got it, would you tell me where I can find my armor that was stolen from me? That armor means something to me.” tokara was willing to strike a deal with this slightly bizarre turn of events. if he was lucky they might be the bandit’s in the seawatch. It would seem tokaras mind was now set on gathering information rather than fighting, quite the uncommon change in him. He completely ignored every one else’s fight.

((The reason for no NPC post is that Sid killed the bandits that had been focused on him.))

Sidney does a quick scan of the battlefield. He sees the healthy bandit talking to Tokara, the bandit that Avril was fighting that was a blow from death, and then the bandit Falabella was fighting. It doesn't take much time for him to start charging the bandit near Falabella. Sidney is not yet in range to make an attack. Sidney has a face of battle lust as he approaches. His whole appearance shows him to be unhinged.

The bandit facing Avril does a final desperation slash at her side with his dagger. Normally he'd try to run away but since Avril has a bow, he figures that she would just shoot him as he was trying to escape.


((Sorry for shortness. After this battle there will be a new post order style with NPCs. Thanks to this topic I learned that this is definitely not the way to go about fight RPs.))

Avril again takes the attack purposely letting him close in and then takes a final arrow and attempts to stab him with it in the chest. So far she had been fortunate that this bandit had not snapped off her arrows like the last few had. At this rate she was going to need to buy more arrows. Avril did not like this up close battle style and hoped that in the future she might be able to just be the team's healer. Sure her father would expect that from her, but she'd already done a lot that he didn't think she would do.
