Tokara and Fala (horse travel from WW to mende)

Tokara would take the lead with the old shire horse it was easy to see she wanted to move she must have been cramped in a stall for a while. “easy girl we gotta wait for fala.” The mare would take them past where they faught the bandits the bodies where gone. An tokara became more alert to the point he had his sword out. “fala be prepared to run your horse hard.” Tokara didn’t want to spook fala as the would continue deeper in to the woods. This journey was gona keep tokara on his toes as they have seen a baby horse killer in the area that means there’s a pack that roam around.

Suddenly the sound of hooves hitting against the ground could be heard coming closer to Tokara and Falabella. 3 Centaurs came into the clearing in front of Tokara. One holding a battle axe, one holding a bow with a quiver and the 3rd seemingly unarmed. "Give us your gold and you won't be harmed." says the unarmed one.

The one holding the bow and the one with the battle axe then both chime in simultaneously, "And all of your booze too!"

Tokara would see the centaurs come out infront of him and he eard there demands and he lets out a sigh as he scratched a 6 day going beard. Looking at hem he thought for memoment he would much rather defuse the battle with a race who helped raise him. “Let’s think this though. I think we can all strain a deal.” He raised his sword as he aimed it at the centaur with no weapons. It would show he had enough strength to weild the weapon one handed. “we have three choices, we fight and attract a horse killer from the scent of spilled centaur blood. There might be a big mother around here somewhere as yesterday we found a baby roaming around. Or you can join me and my sister on our way to medefera where I can give you some gold and maybe a keg of my uncle’s finest ciders. The one and only uncle festers, the best a centaur can drink.”

He would look back to falabella more or less it was rare to see tokara decline a fight, he really must not want to waste any stamina. “Third option is you all step aside and no one gets hurt.” He patted the birds skull he had on the side of the mare with his sword gently. He would trot closer to them. “its you call I no real reason to hurt a race that raised me.” He wasn’t really far maybe liked 100 feet from them.

Falabella should have known that they would encounter trouble, it just seemed their luck recently.  Seeing they were all Centaurs brought back a smidgen of homesickness, but the fact that they were trying to rob them took care of that quickly enough.  The request for booze almost made her laugh, *Just like a Centaur, they have their own priorities*

She started to collect her magic to her, and let it ease back, brought it forth, then eased it back.  It was hard work to control it so that it didn't reach the point where she couldn't ease it back and it would need to break out of her control.  Plus if they decided to attack, she at least would have been working with her magic already anyways. Her horse was itching to get moving, he didn't seem to care he was the smallest around, a horse after her own heart.

Seeing Tokara decide against a fight had her almost dumbfounded, and she was sure he saw it on her face when he looked back at her, her eyes were wide and her mouth was open slightly in shock.  He really wanted to get going if he was willing to let a robbery slide, even if they were Centaurs.  

"Hey! Have you been hiding Uncle Fes's Cider on me?!"  Hearing mention of that exquisite ale being right under her nose and he had been hording it was almost enough to make her scream, but she kept her voice to a moderate volume but it still held her shock.  She was particularly fond of that Cider herself and the thought of parting with it just to save themselves a fight was sad indeed.

The centaurs listened to what Tokara said, but it all became irrelevant when they heard mention of Uncle Fester. "You know Fester? He makes the best ale anywhere!" The centaurs look at each other before all simultaneously saying. "We'll go with you if you get us some of that ale!" All 3 of the centaur looked excited and it seemed pretty obvious that they were not thinking of just waiting for the right moment to attack Tokara and Falabella though any seasoned traveler would be wary that such a thing may occur.

Tokara looked at fala when she made her comment. “I going to buy it, it sells in medefera I bet. Probably for a high price as well.” He then looked towards the centaurs and started to move holding his sword out still. “well then we shall not keep our self’s waiting, and of corse I know of fester shire, we are tokara and falabella shire. We are related to him.” saying that tokara would put a little giddy up in his pace and the centaurs would follow after to ask more questions.

The one leader who was unarmed stroked a long bear on his face. “You are of kin to fester, well you meet many faces on the roads. But the first sign of trouble you’re on your own.” The centaur said it as they all would continue the same path tokara and fala had taken there. tokara looked at the centaur who said that. “don’t worry about that just stick close to see that keg of ale.” Tokara was thinking of its rich taste, the tingle it gave on one tongue if they swished it around. There was nothing better than that drunken centaurs ale.

Falabella hurried after Tokara, but she made sure her Claws and Spikes were on her hands, and with one hand holding the reigns, she pulled out 2 Damaging Needles to hold in her other hand; it couldn't hurt to be prepared.  She was still trying to concentrate on her Magic, made much harder by both the motion of the horse and the glances both she and Tokara were getting.  She sighed, she knew what was next and before they could ask she said, "We're adopted."  

Thinking about her family was nice, especially Uncle Fester.  "Uncle Fester gave me my first drink... Mom was very angry... I was 5 at the time."

Back to concentrating on her Magic, holding up one Damaging Needle, she tried to make it float without blowing it away.  It would go from not working at all to suddenly blowing a foot over her hand before she had to stop it.  This was not something she could control yet, but it was good practice while she tried to keep an eye on the Centaurs.

Tokara would wield his sword one handed as he lightly moved it around. Training his arm lifting it a lot he was working on his strength.  He would do this for a couple miles on the horses back. The area would hange as 5 moved along the road. “most be really hard times ever since the dragon awoke. How long has it been? I get the feeling the news of hit didn’t reach out of hummus for a while.” Tokara would question the leader of the centaurs.

“Honestly we don’t even know just one day it showed up and leveled 4 villages. In one days’ time, the beast size allows it to travel fast.” The centaurs didn’t even know when the dragon appeared. They were about half way mark to medefera.

Falabella's pony was happy to be out in the open, and young and spunky enough to keep up with the larger horse and Centaurs without any trouble. She listened to the conversation but was still weary of making small talk with 3 men who may try to kill and rob them at any time, regardless of the allure of Uncle Fester's cider. but hearing about the dragon destroying so many villages so quickly did give her mixed feelings of awe and dread.

Putting her Damaging Needles back, but keeping out her Claws and Spikes, she retrieves her Fife from her pack, guiding her pony with her knees, but holding the reins in her hand out of the way of her Fife. Not wanting it to make much noise, she wraps it in some bandages to cover the holes but leave them still findable to her fingers. She puts it to her mouth, aiming it sideways and very lightly blows across the mouth hole, causing a low sound that shouldn't travel farther than her ears let alone to the group. She starts to practice with some of the notes, putting her fingers down on the different covered holes, all the while barely blowing air into the instrument. She wasn't very good, but she started to improve slowly, not making so many off-key sounds. She does this as she keeps an eye on the 3 centaurs, keeping herself ready for an attack should it come.

The mare tokara was riding could hear falas fife and so could the centaur’s. “you play little one.” Said one of the centaurs, slowing down to look at her and her little pony. Even in the direst of times not all is bad. Tokara would begin working on his other arm as they would slowly come to the peak of a tail and see the east gates of medefara about 6 miles away. “We are almost there.” so far there had not been much trouble. Easing the mare ahead it started to let out the grunt a horse makes when worried. “I am going move ahead the furthest… some things not right.” Tokara felt like he knew something was waiting for them.


(I know theres a horse killer close to medefera east gates. If an event happens this post it wont be that horse killer but also if no event happens the horse killer appears on fala post.)

Fala was surprised and a little happy to hear the centaur praise her Fife.  So far her Bard skills were so low that it was pretty bad, but practice makes perfect.  She continues with her work, trying new finger combinations, working a slight tune she made up.  She missed the note a few times, but it was getting better.  

When Tokara said he was going ahead she was... a little shocked to put it lightly.  *Is he Seriously leaving me alone with 3 Centaurs who tried to rob us!?!*  "Tokara!" Falabella started freaking out slightly, her wings twitching with her pulse as it quickened.  She put her Fife away and put one hand to her waist where all her Damaging Needles were and the other on the rein for better control.  "Lets see what's up," she says to the centaurs, hoping they wont think her agitation was due to them.  

Luckily they seemed curious about what was going on and anticipatory on the ale they should be getting soon more than anything as to what was going on and didn't make a move to attack her while she was alone.  They sped up with her, trying to keep up with Tokara

((This is a merge topic as Remy is coming towards the Horse Killer from one side and Tokara and Falabella from either the front or back.))

In the road ahead of Tokara, Falabella, and the centaurs is a Hunter Killer. As they continue it comes into view. It looks up and sees them. It lets out a louds screeching howl. The centaurs with Tokara and Falabella run away into the woods.

Meanwhile Remy was likely able to see this scene unfold from the bushes where he had been sneaking up.

Remy did see this all happen and has a decision to make on if he should stay hidden or help stop the creature from eating horse. He decided on the latter. Remy steps out of the bushes and throws a kunai at the back of the Horse Killers head hoping to get its attention for now. It was risky assuming that the other travelers would fight it, but judging by the looks of the big man he figured that they would fight the creature. At the same time he takes out a card from one of his 5 decks of cards and begins to charge it with kinetic energy.

Tokara had his worst fears relies it was a big male horse killer. When it let out its yell tokara just stood his ground the horse flinched and wanted to run tokara jerked her rains so she stayed still and he begun to charge the horse killer holding his sword drawn. He was close to the horse killer when he saw a man attempted to distract it with a kunai. This not stopping his plan, actuly added to it. “fala distract it!” isn’t tokara nice making fala also distract it.
