Preliminary Round Match 4: Sidney Hawkins vs. Magera Purewater

An older man with gray hair, wearing black pants, a white shirt and a red bowtie is standing in the middle of the tile floor of the arena awaiting Sidney and Magera.

Magera saunters into the arena, her hips swaying as she does so.  She's wearing an elegant cloth robe that is pure white with some intricate gold patterns on it and seems to hug her beautiful frame as if it could be a dress as much as cloth armor.  Her fair light elven skin almost seems as white as the robes and the robes even cause her to seem to glare a little.  She blows some of her long pale light blonde hair from her face. In her hand is a short wand that is also very intricately designed.  She just stands there and waits while keeping a confident expression looking back towards the entrance to the arena.

Sidney walks out to the center of the arena at a typical pace. He has his old forge sword, Kye-Ryong leather armor, a pair of daggers and his Plasite Cutter, but he has the Plasite Cutter so that it isn't all that accessible as he wasn't going to use it in the Arena, but didn't trust to leave it anywhere. He looks to his opponent and can't help but notice her beauty.... and that glare. He then backs up to where he is supposed to be.

The referee motions for both Sidney and Magera to stand where they are supposed to and once they are both there he speaks. The only real rules here are to stop fighting if your opponent is unconscious or gives up. If you say that you give up, you immediately lose. Also, please note that the sphere around the fighting area is magic and will repel you if you come into contact with it so try not to. Now make sure to stay still as the arena will now morph and the only places that are guaranteed safe are the starting points and a spot for me.

After saying this the referee stays where he is. The tiles seem to disintegrate under both competitors feet and turn to sand, before long the whole floor is sand. The middle of the battlefield is about 40 yards in diameter and the rest of the battlefield rises up around them until it gets to the edge of the battlefield It looks as though they are in a large sand pit. It would be hard to climb the 20 yard high sides of battlefield but it would be doable. After the sand forms the battlefield the sun overhead seems to intensify immensely, glaringly so and the temperature rise a great deal so that doing anything takes double stamina. It was as if they were in a desert in Igneus After the area finishes changing the referee motions and yells Begin Fight!

As the fight commences Magera stands still and raises her wand into the air. Electricity seems to crackle around it and it is forming more and more. She smirks looking at Sidney. Let's see how you fare against this. I don't think this will be a very long match personally, after all, it's hard to do anything when you're paralyzed or unconscious, and this spell should accomplish at least one of the two things. It's a shame really, this won't even suffice as a warm up.

(-20 Stamina, -40 Magic)

Sidney doesn't like the looks of this as he draws his daggers and charges towards her as much as possible, quickly closing the gap with his agility. He can feel the swear on his skin from the heat. As he approaches her he slashes with one of his daggers, aiming at her arm to try and disrupt the spell that she is casting. His attack should be pretty accurate but that glare from the sun and her outfit was annoying. He is hoping that she didn't expect for him to be as fast and agile as he was.

Magera frowns and dissipates her own attack as she dodges to the side of Sidney's dagger attack. As soon as she recovers she thrusts her hand out to grab at Sidney's side in the kidney area. Her hand sparks with electricity as she does so as this is a spell as well. This will be a pretty strong attack if it hits Sidney. If it doesn't hit Sidney it will leave her open and vulnerable to a counter attack.

(-15 Stamina (dodge and spell) -25 Magic for a total of -45 Stamina and -65 magic)

Because of Sidney having missed Magera with his slash it left him unable to dodge whatever it was that she was doing. Even though he is off balance, he manages a shaky slash attempt with his other dagger because of where he was dual wielding. It wasn't the greatest of attacks but again, it was all he could manage given his momentum and positioning. Truthfully he hadn't even noticed her grabbing at his side because of his positioning.

Magera grabs hard into Sidney around the kidney area and releases a jolt of electricity into him through his armor. It is a strong attack and is continuing and will continue until Sidney breaks it up if he can. Magera laughs out loud, I can't believe you let me catch you so easily. This fight really isn't going to be a challenge at all is it? she asks arrogantly. If you can move you'll be really lucky.

(Deals 30 damage to Sidney calculating armor and if the following roll is 11-20 Sidney will be stunned for one post)

Sidney is surprised when he feels her grab into his side. He grunts in pain and winces as the electricity courses through his body. He slashes with one of his daggers at her arm in an attempt to force her to break her grasp on him as the electricity is still coursing through him and does not seem even close to letting up any time soon. This opponent of his was even stronger than he had worried she might be,

(-30 health, -2 stamina)

As Sidney attempted to slash at Magera's arm he would feel a push back right as he got to her robe. Sidney's attack is repelled by some unseen force and Magera just smirks, Is that all you're capable of? You'll have to do better than that if you want to keep up with me hun. She then squeezes tighter into Sidney with her hand while continuing with the electrical attack that she has been performing.

(That was weird how it did double posted and then did two rolls in a row. I did see that both rolls were the same.)

Sidney cringes as the attack continues. He needs to break out of this now or this could be the whole battle already. He starts to reach for something but drops to one knee while he gasps, his mind going blank of anything but the pain as the attack stuns him, rendering him unable to do anything of use right off. He's made up his mind on what he needs to do when he can, if he gets the chance to do it. It could already by too late by this point. It was something he hadn't wanted to do, but he had no choice.
