Alexi continues mining and comes to a section of silver which she mines out of the rock and places into her bottoms backpack. She was curious as to if there was any material in here that she had not yet seen or mined up as she had seen several kinds of gems and minerals and ore up to this point. She goes back to mining and watches in amazement the dwarves around her as they mine much faster than she ever could. Their skill was amazing. If she could be half that good she would be able to make an easy living.

Alexi continues through the rock as she is hoping to get as much material as possible. As she does so she comes back into some more iron again and she mines that out very efficiently. She gets about a pounds worth out and puts the pound of iron in her bottoms backpack. She goes back to mining again almost immediately. This really was much better mining than it had been in the other section of the mine and she was very thankful for that.

Alexi continues mining through the dirt and the rock and then finds some iron that had been behind the other iron that she had just mined out of the mine. She wondered if it was part of the same vein originally or if it was a separate piece of iron ore. Regardless she goes about mining it out and is successful at doing so. She then takes the one pound or so of iron and puts it into her bottoms backpack and then goes back to mining again. She is really enjoying mining right now.

As Alexi continues mining she starts humming a little song. She comes to some more iron to her surprise as she had found a lot of little pieces of it. She mines the iron out and puts the additional pound in her bottoms backpack. According to her math that made about 34 pounds of iron total. It was lucky that Tokara had come there with his horse or she would have no way to bring it all back and it would all be going to waste. She goes back to mining after she puts the iron in the backpack.

As Alexi continues mining she is not surprised at all when she hits a little bit of a drought in materials. As she mines through the area of rock she marvels again at how the mica and quartz sparkled in it. She wondered why that had no value in itself. She knew that if there was a big clear piece of quartz that that might have value but the quartz she came across was small and scattered throughout the rock. She was starting to notice that the air was much staler in this section of the mine than the last.

Continuing mining through this rock that she was still trying to get used to the look of she comes to some more gold that she mines out around and then successfully harvests. She takes it all and puts it into her bottoms backpack. As was the usual with gold there was about a pound of it total in that last bit of gold she mined. She then puts the bag away again and goes back to mining. She is getting tired again and probably should take a longer break soon.

As Alexi continues mining she is watching the dwarves around her and is amazed at how they can keep on mining without a break. She might have been mining for a long time but she had been taking breaks throughout. She then comes into some better iron rich rock and mines the iron out. She puts the iron in her bag and figures that there was 2 pounds worth in the freshly mined iron. By now Alexi figured that there was just more material and less rock rather than anything new in this section of the mine.

Alexi slows down her mining and then comes to a slow stop as she has hit empty for the time being. She sits down and takes a short break from mining to let her sore muscles relax some. She doesn't take the break for very long though. She takes her pickaxe back out and gets back to mining. She finds some more iron, about a pound of it likely, and mines it and gathers it successfully before putting it into her bottoms backpack. She goes back to mining again as soon as she finishes doing that.

Alexi continues on mining and comes to some more iron. She mines it out and puts it in her bottoms backpack. Again there was about a pound of it that she had just mined out. She now had 9 pounds of material in her bag out of the 25 pounds total she could carry to a time. That meant that she could get 16 more pounds of material before she had to go back to Tokara. It would take quite a while to get that unless she started getting back into coal again. She continues mining.

Alexi mines through the rock and comes to some more silver. She mines it out and puts it in her bottoms backpack. There was about a pound of it there and now she has about two pounds in her bottoms backpack. Everything in it together was only 10 pounds and she could carry probably 10 more pounds of material before she would have to bring it all into the entrance of the mine near Tokara. She was surprised at how long it had been since she had last found coal as she continued mining.

As Alexi continues mining she comes into the coal she had been talking about but surprisingly there was only about a pound or so in this little mini vein of coal. She mines it out and puts it into her bottoms backpack and then continues mining. As she continues she yawns. She wasn't up for much more of this mining. She wasn't sure why she had kept on mining after that last gem that she had successfully mined out, but she was learning a lot doing what she was doing.

Alexi continues mining until she comes to a metal she has not mined before. She is a little confused as to what it is until she starts trying to extract it. When she has finished extracting it she has two pounds of natural steel which she puts in her bottoms backpack. She was surprised that she hadn't run into any until then and figured it must be pretty rare to get here. After she finishes putting it in her bottoms backpack she gets back to mining again.
