Hunting the Femorian

As Remy and The Three Brothers head out of the city one of them looks at him funny. Wait? We're not traveling on horseback? If we'd have known that we'd have had two words for ya. BALLS NO! It appeared as he was only half joking.

Remy just shrugs off the comment, I'd rather travel on foot than run into another horse killer. I have to get this done today. I don't have time for bullshit because I have to meet back up with my travel group in the morning.

The Three Brothers seem to respect that answer as it is an attitude they have grown accustomed to as Mercs.

As they continue on there is a lot of laughing and joking from The Three Brothers. They often make remarks about other Mercs, all of them derogatory. Even the ones that they like. Remy doesn't know what to think of this as they are being a little loud, but not loud enough to draw attention from anything more so than a group of 4 people travelling on the road normally would. As they continue along the walls of Mendefera get smaller and smaller until they are no longer in view. They are making pretty good progress.

(Remember in battle the NPC controls the Mercs. Also the event type weighted roll as a 6 meaning combat and the creature roll was an 8 which for Mendefera correlates to the following.

Oh, and if the 3 brothers are who I think they are than you shouldn't have a problem with me making them whack jobs.)

Suddenly a group of 8 bandits appear in front of Remy and The Three Brothers. As Remy appears to be the group leader they point at him. Give us all of your money and we won't kill you as slowly!

The Three Brothers step in front of Remy. The middle one looks over at Remy. We got this boss. Then he looks back at the Bandits. I'm sorry, but he already gave all of his money to us!

Then all three of the brothers ready bows and arrows with gems tips. Alright guys! Let's use team attack Blitzkrieg Ballet!

As the two brothers on the sides ready an additional arrow the bandits start laughing about how stupid a name they thought the attack's name was.

The brothers on the side fire an arrow each that land beyond the group of bandits on either side of the group. The bandits laugh at how badly the brothers had missed. The arrows are sparking though and then the two brothers fire again but both are short of the group and to either as well and are also sparking.

As the bandits continue laughing the brother in the middle fires an arrow that seems to spark even more than the first four. It lands in the middle of the group but doesn't hit anyone. As the bandits prepare to taunt more the electricity from the center arrow starts arcing and all of a sudden the entire area within the square the first two brothers had formed is arcing with a strong electrical charge that stuns all of those trapped inside.

The electricity leaps to the metal on the bandits which they all have. They have metal belt buckles, metal in their shoes, some metal in their chest armor and metal daggers. The attack is heinously effective as the bandits are all cringing in pain but too stunned to get out of the attack.

Remy just watches in amazement as the bandits had been laughing. It was obvious they weren't missing when they practically formed a perfect square with their arrows. When the third one fires the center arrow and the attack goes off he is even more amazed. He can feel the electricity in the air as his hair stands up a little. He was feeling really good about having spent that much money right now, but he is a little concerned that they might only know electric moves. Then again those were gem tipped arrows so they should be enchantments.

(You get 16 exp as you only get 1/10th experience because of the mercs. You also get 1 loot roll per bandit. The loot roll is a 6 side and I will tell you what they all have the post after.)

The electricity from the attack starts to die off as do the bandits. After the last one collapses the Three brothers relax and high five each other before the middle one says, Loot away and then we can be on our way.

Remy is amazed by how efficient they had been. He walks over to the bandits to see if they have anything. Meanwhile the Three Brothers pick up their arrows. Remy knew now that it was an arrow enchantment that allowed for the attack which made him feel a little bit better about having hired them. If they could be anywhere near that efficient than they might actually have a chance at taking down the Femorian that was waiting for them at the end of their journey.

(Dagger is an important item from a roll of a twenty.  Keep it.  The Skill Boost Draught is a +10 to any skill you choose but lasts for 5 posts so use it wisely.)

Remy loots the bandits and gets 1100 gold from the group which he puts with his 5000 to now have 6100 gold on him. He takes the draught and the gold handle cutting knife. He sees the disgusting jockstrap and leaves it there before he and The Three Brothers leave and start heading back towards the inn outside of sidewind pass. As they continue on they make it into an area of thick forest. It would be the kind of place where you would expect to run into an ambush somewhere.

Remy and The Three Brothers continue along the road through the Forest. Remy finds areas like this beautiful. As they continue along the come across a brook. The continue past it and there is a bit of an opening ahead. The opening is a bog that the road goes around. Remy's face darkens going through here and Remy picks up pace to a speed that The Three Brothers have a hard time keeping up with. After they get past the swamp Remy stands still and closes his eyes for a second. When he opens them his eyes are red from the tears he had been holding back.

Continuing along Remy's mind can only think of back in the country of Atrum, when he found his girlfriend, who he had planned on proposing to when they got to Igneus, dead. His pain turns to anger as it had before, he swore that if he saw any lizardmen anywhere he would kill them without reservation or die trying. They had taken so much from him that he wouldn't be able to hold back his anger. Remy is back to making a pace that The Three Brothers have difficulty keeping up with.

Continuing on Remy is clutching onto the pendant of one of the two necklaces that he wears. Remy's resolve to find Rory suddenly hits a new high. He needed to stop screwing around. Instead of travelling just anywhere Remy needed to travel to Fortune Cay. Not many knew of it but Fortune cay was an island in the middle of the ocean that was not claimed by any country. The pirates use it as a base of operation and if Remy was to find this Captain R. Burns he would need to go there.

On the ground there is a pewter pendant that is rectangular.

As Remy continues walking he sees a pewter pendant on the ground but he has no use for it and right now it would take up unneeded space so he leaves it there. Continuing on Remy decides that his best bet at being able to get to Fortune Cay would probably be Nemo again though the man was greedy and asked ridiculous rates to travel anywhere, but when you paid those rates he would literally take you anywhere. He was the only person Remy would trust to take him somewhere like that.

Remy ignores the stick and decides that they should set up camp here. They set up camp which is quick as the mercs help out. "Alright lets all plan on leaving here tomorrow right at sunrise. O.k? They all agree to leave at the time stated and then all of them do one last check all around the camp to make sure that they are clear from attack. The machine gun brothers dont seem very concerned.
