Hunting a Witness...

Saori would begin her travels, walking from the boundaries of Mendefara and into the wilderness once more. This time, however, she was looking toward the small town of Ironhurst. A placed shrouded in mystery, though famous for its blacksmithing qualities. Dashing at the borders, she ran, sprinting from her former position at the forests and mountainous boundaries.

Saori continued onward, dusk had just been setting by the time she had reached about a mile out, the clouds looking dim as the sunlight began to fade and mask them in a facade of shadows and darkness. This was about the perfect time to stop and take a small rest, simply to scan the immediate area in case of any danger afoot. Most enemies came out at night, and Saori knew that there was always the possibility of oncoming targets. Especially after her fight with the two Harpy bitches.

The darkness bestowed shadow upon the world beneath. Trees cast neverending bridges of shaded hues of grass and dirt alike. Saori actually appreciated the raw beauty of the surrounding environment in darkness. Specifically because she was a Dark Elf, however. Her light red eyes gave off a beautiful hue of garnet color. She gripped her two brand new steel daggers in case of an attack from an unexpected opponent.

The dark of night came swiftly, twenty minutes later. The darkness had completely consumed the lands, as the moonlight from above shined beyond the horizon of mountains and clouds. Her spell Dead-Eye would have taken effect just now, allowing her to see an immediate vicinity in complete darkness, a campfire had already been started and she was standing, warming her hands over the flames. Though it was hot in Humus during the day, it was exceedingly cold during the night, especially when traveling South. No matter what, though, she held on to her daggers after every interval of warmth.

saori would the glimmer of shiny metal from a small bush. there would be 10 one pound ingots of iron. must have fell off a traveling merchants cart. there would be a small sack with them for easy carry.

As she stood by the fire, the illuminating light the flickering flames created allowed for her to see a shining, glimmered reflection of the light, pointing toward a pile of metals. Walking over to it, she was at first skeptical, but quickly realized that they were ingots of iron quality. They were of smithing quality, and she saw that next to them, a folded up and ragged bag lay. She figured it would probably be enough to carry the ingots. Picking one up, she weighed it out. Each of them seemed to weigh around one pound each. Stuffing them into the bag, she went back to her campsite and waited the night out, setting the bag of ingots next to the fallen log she sat upon. Gripping her daggers, impending danger was something you must be prepared for at all times.

She continued about three hours in, the campsite now being abandoned, her package of iron ingots slung over her shoulder, a steel dagger in her right hand, gripped tightly for quick swinging capability. Now that she had some actual loot, any passing bandits would surely try to make a mockery out of the Dark Elf, Saori, prompting her to be on her absolute guard. Continuously scanning the area, she walked, and walked, but never losing focus.

She continued walking onward, dawn was beginning to break as she reached a bottom path of a mountainous cavern, beginning to walk through the aligned cave system. She thought she could have gotten lost, though she realized that this actually was the only way to reach the town of Ironhurst as she briefly checked her map. Continuing forth, she gripped her dagger harder. Weapons ready.

Dawn broke, sunshine filled the skies above. She needed to get to Ironhurst. And quick. Another night spent in the mountainous areas of Humus could very well end up with the death of Saori. Still lugging the ten pounds of Iron overnight took its toll. She sat down in order to take a momentary breather. Sitting down on a broken log stump from a fallen tree, she scanned the area before closing her eyes for a moment. Rest was something she needed, but not until her job was done. Opening her red beauties once more, her dagger was squeezed, gripping it tightly.

After taking her break, she stood, walking out of the cavern pass, finally finding her way through the system of tunnels. Walking among an overpass, she carefully was picking and choosing where to step, the rocky surface crumbling from erosion due to hundreds of thousands of years of wind blowing against it. Making her way across it, she walked through a large creviced path, two mountainous walls constricted the pass, the walking area being roughly twenty feet wide, though its length was at least triple that.

She continued walking, finding her way out of the mountain pass, which inevitably lead to a plateau of grasslands and fields. Thousands of trees lined the way, and she could see a small town producing exhumed clouds of brim and smoke, black clouds filled the air above it. She assumed that was Ironhurst, though it was clearly a long journey away. Continuing onward, her dagger felt more tense than ever. She wasn't sure what could happen as she drew closer to the town than ever.

Dusk fell, the time of night was nigh. The sun began to set, three hours after she made her way out of the gargantuan tunnel system covered by a cave. Sunlight began fading, and with that, the vision of a person would be obscured. The clouds were dyed gray with small portions of black found between their coveted openings. She looked up as it started to rain. "Ahhh, damn." It was about to be night time and it was raining. Little room for a campfire. She still held her dagger in hand. Now was not the time to slip up, though mother nature would seemingly have it so.
