The Mendefera Storage Dungeon

Tokara heard what Imusa had said. What kind of arena would have the peacekeepers attention. "what kind of Arena would have the peacekeepers attention? An another question... can any one enter such arena?" Tokara was getting rather tired of fighting monsters and wished to hone his skills on some more humanoid opponents. A arena most often had men and women fighting in it for sport or at least where he was from most often centaurs jousted together.

Sidney doesn't know if he's more dumbfounded by Rusty or Tokara. Wow, I thought people, even in Lymphae knew about the Arena, especially someone as travelled as you Tokara. He then stops talking though as he decides that more than likely it would be Imusa who would provide the best response about the Arena as he likely had experienced it from the stands and from behind the scenes unlike Sidney as Sidney had only heard hearsay about it and had read about it.

Remy is oddly quiet for this ride as he is trying to figure out exactly what he should be doing with Python. Imusa was it? When we get back to Mendefera, I would like to request a private conversation with you. It is very important. The look on his face matches what he says as he looks dead serious. He then goes to being quiet again, and surprisingly, probably even more so, is that Python has been quiet as well.

Rusty is not quiet. IMUSAAAAAA... I said Mendefera! Not Mendefera City! We are in the Mendefera woods!~ So we are there! HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH!!! Rusty laughs loudly, feeling he outsmarted Imusa as Imusa had just assumed that Rusty had meant the city as most anybody would have done. Rusty seems to feel great about himself and is just beaming and full of joy.

(Excuse spaz rolls at the end but we should have been rolling this whole time, however this will cover all the rolls this whole travel.)

As the group continues along a man with a big grin steps out into the middle of the road. He is pulling a young woman with bound wrists with him. He stands there with the angry looking girl and waves at them. It doesn't appear as though he is going to get out of their way for any reason and he seems certain that they will stop, rather than run into him and the young woman.

Imusa was about to remark to rusty and tokara when something grabbed his attention. pulling on the reins to stop soot as he saw a man with a women bound. Imusa stops just 30 feet away from them. "hmmm hello? are you lost?" imusa thought it was a bit strange to see a man with a grin on his face and a women with him didn't look like a slave. who was this man. he then looks back at the cart of people, wondering if there was some thing much more going on but he kept his mouth shut as unless attacked he could not react.

tokara felt the cart stop and looked up at what was happening. "hey you two what you doing wandering out here with out weapons??" tokara noticed they where unarmed and gets out of that cart. crackers however was yapping alot and growling like some thing was up. to bad tokara was still do dense to notice when crackers smelled danger. tokaras large sword was on his back while he begins to look at the smiling mane and felt like some thing was off. then at the bound girl. tokara of all people hated slave masters. but he didn't react just yet there was no point too.

As the cart stops, Imusa speaks and Tokara gets down and approaches the couple, Sidney turns and looks. It looks rather suspicious. He starts to look around and then kind of quietly says to Remy. Keep an eye out around the cart. There's something suspicious about this and I don't like it. He then starts looking around in the forest around the cart, trying to notice anything that may be out of place, even in the slightest bit.

Remy too notices that this is suspicious and nods in response to Sidney and he also is keeping an eye out. He stays seated as well, but he takes out a deck of his playing cards, preparing himself in the case of a battle, though he doesn't quite know that it will be that bad. He can't help but think that the man looks like he is total scum. Just his smirk alone was enough to make him uncomfortable.

Rusty, who is behind the cart now with the golden horse killer, doesn't at all appear to be worried at all. He does appear to get more and more bored as time goes on as he has to wait. He doesn't say anything though. He is humming an annoying song though that is very repetitive sounding and way off pitch which makes it just that much worse. He doesn't seem to really even take notice of the situation at all other than that though.

The man just continues smiling and standing there, the young woman begins to struggle though and yells out. Watch out! It's a trap! After she says this the man pulls on her hair roughly with the hand that wasn't holding her bound arms. His smile remains the whole time though, to the point where it might even be considered creepy.

After this all happens, four bandits come out of the bushes to the right of the cart and five bandits come out from the left while a robed man comes out beside the man with the girl. They all pretty well have the cart surrounded.

Imusa wasn't impressed with how the man acted when the girl let out the fact it was a trap. Imusa quickly mind links with tokara. ~tokara quickly use your swords ability i will use my magic to split it in 7 segments. this is all i can do, i cant attack my self.~ after saying thins imusa does a spell silently covering tokaras sword. the spell was a portal spell. above each of the bandits was the exit the moment tokara would use his swords ability t would activate and pour over each of the bandits. this was not an easy spell to do imusa would let a small bead of sweat drip from his brow. tokara would only be able to hit 7 out of the 9 bandits but that would make the battle a little more fair.

Tokara gripped the hilt of his sword when the girl yelled it was a trap and looked to see the cart of his allies get surrounded by bandits. then how the guy grinning grabber her hair pissed him off.  when imusa mind linked with tokara he already had the intention of using his meteors swords stardust shockwave. ~Planned on it i'm going to crush this man...~ With a load battle like cry tokara pulls is sword free of the ice buildup it makes for a holster on his back and swings it at the man. "Well i been wanting a fight so lets FIGHT!" he yells swinging his sword with his full strength. the sword glowed with power and sends the swords shock wave out at the grinning mans henchmen by him. but tokara noticed the shock wave wasn't that big but was missing about more then half of its full size. as he swung the swords missing energy flowed out of the portals near 7 bandits.

(FYI to anyone trying to figure out what is happening here, Imusa has placed an energy displacement spell centered on Tokara's sword, causing the attack to be redirected as Imusa see's fit.)

When the attack finishes all but one bandit on each side of the cart is frozen and the other two are running away in fear. Meanwhile the two men and the girl in front of them seem to be unharmed as the robed man had put up some kind of fire shield before the strike hit them, he seems rather spent and looks worried though. During the chaos the girl manages to break away from the man, though her wrists are still bound. The man that had been holding her makes a simple motion with his head and the robed man faces the girl and begins to charge a fire spell. The heat from the building spell is hot enough that it can be felt by people in the back of the cart.

It all happened very quickly as the girl warned them of the trap. Suddenly the bandits ran out but Tokara did some attack that split and froze most of them solid. Now the fire magic user seemed to be preparing to kill the fleeing girl at the urge of the man that was apparently the leader of this group of bandits(?). He turns to Remy Remy! If you can throw that and make it explode as it comes into contact with the spell, maybe you can make his spell blow up in his face!

Remy nods as Sidney tells him that he may be able to make the attack blow up in the fire users face. He throws the card at him and it should explode right as it goes into the building fire spell. Remy was disgusted at this whole scene as it was reminding him of what had happened to his Fiancee and child years ago. He hoped the spell would blow up and kill both the fire user and the leader.

As this all had happened, Rusty had moved forward and as the fire person charged his attack Rusty was walking forward and he motioned for the girl to run towards him. He was surprised that the fire person was able to put as much into the attack as he was, at this rate it seemed as though it had the potential to be a very strong attack, by regional standards at least. He hoped the girl would make it to him before the attack made it to her.

Remy's card does indeed ignite inside of the charging fire spell, however it just seems to add more energy to the spell, making it stronger and having the opposite effect of what had been desired by Sidney and Remy.

Imusa was about to intervene with the girl running from her captors but notices the spell being used was a powerful one. So he prepares a shield spell around those in the cart and the horse its self. Mumbling some Draconian words imusa puts those inside the cart in a shield from magic. but tokara was not part of this barrier there for he would need to get inside so imusa mind links with him again. ~get to the cart that spell will kill you if it hits you.~ he warned the large man who he deemed to be smart enough to notice a powerful spell when he sees one. he admired remy and sidney attempt at team work a very rare trust to find in such hard times.

Tokara herd the voice in his head and he cringed his teeth. "Fight some one who whats to fight!" he yells jumping forward at thegrinning man and the mage. Swinging his sword again he unleashes the shock wave away at then this time a full power stardust shockwave. he had ignored imusa as the girl ran for rusty Tokara made his stand weather it be his last or not he was tired of backing down from a fight.
