Sidney heads over to the next acre and starts making sure that it too is clear. This is the last acre with lakefront land. The way land that he had was 3 acres along the shorefront, 3 acres inland from shore and then 4 acres up the stream's edge making a square of land but with one acre up on the north western tip of the square. Sidney actually was surprised that he hadn't run into goblins or more bandits up here as the remnants of the town would make a good base for either of them.

Sidney marks the edge of the property line and then heads inland a tad to the next acre. As he continues along he feels a little foolish having not bought the land that his old house had been on as his family hadn't lived in the center of town. He figured though that he would be able to expand his land to encompass where he had lived by the time he was done if all went well. Sidney then focuses back on the work at hand as he makes sure nothing is in this acre either.

Sidney moves up to the acre next to that one after having marked it out. He searches this acre as well with this being the fifth one he had been searching. He was a little tense and would be until he was done with all that he needed to do. He then had a thought come to him that was not pleasant. He would need to face the Angha before people started coming into this town. He knew from his last experience that they were intelligible and he had to figure a way to reason with them.

Suddenly Sidney can hear a "HEY!  YOU THERE!  ARE YOU ENJOYING YOUR YOUTH?"  If Sidney looks up he will seen an odd man with a bowl cut and super bushy eyebrows who is wearing a green jumpsuit.  If Sidney looks over to him he will see him grin and give a thumbs up.  When he grins there is a bright glare of light reflecting off from his teeth.  

As the man gets closer he looks Sidney over.  "Hmm... Cool leather armor and a little sword with a weird little thing on the end...  You must be someone I've never met before!  My name is Power Gai and I will be pleased to teach you hand to hand combat!  After all you've made it all the way here by yourself, you MUST be worthy of learning from me!"  Power Gai then does his grin again.  This time the glare from the light reflecting off from his teeth is right in Sidney's eye.

Sidney is surprised to see this random man in the middle of the ruins of his hometown. At first his guard is up but this man seems genuinely friendly. As the man gets near him and speaks to him he grins and blinds Sidney for a second with his grin. Sidney closes his eyes for a second and re-opens them hoping the man had stopped smiling. He looks back at him and says "I would be glad to accept any teaching that anyone has to offer me. Travelling by myself it could prove greatly useful."

(The vagueness here is intended so people don't copy the training and think they will get a bonus.)

The odd man trains Sidney in a variety of techniques after they are done the man tells Sidney. "Good job!" he then gives him a grin and a thumbs up and then a gust of wind picks up and leaves start circling the man until he can no longer be seen and when it dies down he is gone.

As odd as that man had been as a trainer it had appeared as though the training did indeed pay off for Sidney. Sidney then starts inspecting the next acre of land. He had to hurry up if he was going to get all of the land surveyed before the carpenters got here. He searches it rather thoroughly and is quite certain nothing is in it but goes over it a second time to make sure he hadn't missed anything.

Having cleared that acre of land Sidney moves to the 8th of the 10 acres. He's having a lot of memories flood back to him about his childhood. There was something really depressing about checking the ruins of your hometown to make sure that there wasn't anything unfriendly there. Sidney then thinks about the fact that he would have to come up with a name for it. He is quick to decide that he wants to avoid the town's original name in hope of trying to leave its' history behind it.

Going onto the 9th acre of land he decides not to get very creative with the name. He figured he might just shorten the name of the town to Hope. It sounded a little odd, but it honored the original name without it being the same as the last. As he scours the acre of land he doesn't see any immediate threats to the area and hopes that none pop up. After this he only had one more acre to go.

As Sidney reaches the final acre of land he scouts it more intensely than he had the previous 9 to make sure that it is really secure. If it was he could relax until the carpenters arrived and then leave right after telling them what it was tha he wanted built. Luckily for him there was a lot of forest around and if they took trees from out around the opening the town was in it wouldn't look all that weird. He was sure though that he didn't want a random clear cut in the woods.

Having finished searching the area Sidney patiently waits for the construction crew to get there. After about an hour of waiting Sidney sees the crew come and goes and talks to the foreman. He asks them to build a large building with a large assembly hall in it and then all of the amenities for at least 5 people to be able to live in it comfortably. For now that's all he wants to focus on. There are multiple bedrooms and it is really quite the layout that he asks for. He then pays the foreman 200,000 gold. After bidding them farewell and telling them good luck Sidney heads on his way again heading towards Mendefera.
