Encounter with the guard

Raiden was wandering around the streets of Mendefera in his fox form because it seemed like using this form was easy to get around in and also he didn't have any random people walking up to him when he didn't want them to. Raiden was mainly there to explore the city and didn't want to be bothered. However Raiden seemed to be a little lost in the large city he didn't know exactly where he was going to go but he kept wandering around hoping that he would stumble on something or maybe someone to help show him around the city like a guard. Since the city was so large Raiden was hoping that no one would step on him because he is rather small and so far no one seemed to be doing so which was a good thing.

the fox would soon fee a leathery glove grab it by the scuff of the neck. raiden would be turned to be looking face to face with the female guard who had met her earlier when he was not a fox. "there you are sorry about not having a token when you left." she holds out a large badge like token so raiden can bite on to it. "remember what i told you the peace keepers are looking for those able bodied to help fight off the monsters near town. and where your a shapeshifter you should do fine." the girl was cute but harden from the scars on her face that where mixed with red hair and freckles. also if raiden wiggled a bit he could easily escape her grasp.

Raiden was unexpectedly picked up by a guard that began talking to him and held a bag to him. Raiden stuck his head in and grabbed a token from the bag then he transformed into his more humanoid form and put the token in his hand as he said "Thank you now could you please put me down?.. Also can you show me where I am supposed to be going I am kinda lost it is a fairly big city... Also to be specific I am not just an ordinary shapeshifter I am known as a Kitsune."

the gaurd puts the kitsune down what ever that was. "oh the barracks are on the other end of town. interesting never herd of a kitsune wild mage.. actually i have only seen one real wild mage before." she said petting the kits head then walking off and starts spelling off her gaurd speech to some one new down the road a waysand got to hand them a token but the just shake there head and refuse to take the token.

(on the back of the token there is a small map of the city. not much but good enough to make out where things are.)

Raiden was put down by the female guard and was told where to go so he thanked the guard again and set off for the barracks that the guard had told him about. While Raiden was walking he began examining the token that was given to him by the guard he noticed on the back what looked like a map Raiden then though What is the point of putting a map on this if it is so small?.. How is anyone supposed to read it?!.. Well the map shouldn't matter as long as I remember what that guard said and just go to the other end of this city.
