Sidney rides on his horse out of the Wyvernwynne gates and on towards Mendefera. The horse would make travel easy for him but it would also increase the risk of running into a full grown Horse Killer which would not be good. At best it would cause him to have to travel the rest of the way to Mendefera on foot. As he travels on he passes where they had defeated the Kye-Ryong. It brought back some fresh memories of the trip he had travelled. He hated that this was something he had to do on his own.

Sidney continues on towards Mendefera. This trip was going to be nerve wracking for him only because this horse would not be able to out-run a horse killer. As he continues on he is thankful to have this horse for travel. It felt nice to be able to get somewhere without having to walk and climb and push through brush. As he continues on he figures he is still closer to Wyvernwynne than Mendefera though he isn't exactly sure.

As Sidney continues on it starts to rain lightly. He stays in the valleys and is making pretty good time for the kind of horse he is on. The good thing about this horse was that it seemed to have pretty good stamina. As he continues on he figures that he must be about halfway to Mendefera. This would be the absolute worst place to run into a horse killer as he was equal distance between Mendefera and Wyvernwynne which meant he would have a long ways to travel on foot and he was pretty unprepared for that.

Sidney continues onwards as he is now back to where the meteorite sword had landed. It was rather impressive a crater for the size of the meteor. There were some shards of meteor around the impact site but Sidney had made sure to gather all of the usable metal from it. He figured it wouldn't be much longer until he was in Mendefera. He was sure he was about to have something happen soon but wasn't sure if it would be something good or something bad.

(The mandatory event roll was a 4 for combat and then a 15 for horse killer keeping in mind the roll is different for people on horses.)

As soon as Sidney sees the Horse Killer coming Sidney makes the horse stop and bails off from the horse. He has all of his gear with him and then hits the horse on the backend to make it run away. He is hoping the horse killer will go after the horse and let him escape. Sidney starts rushing to the gate to Mendefera. If he didn't get pursued by the Hunter Killer he would make it into the city right off.

The Horse Killer heads after the horse. Shortly after the sounds of the attack can be heard as the horse lets out a panicked neigh. Then the Horse killer lets out a guttural sound. Luckily there is no response. The Horse killer is just tearing into the horse and eating it as blood spurts all over the place. It is a really gruesome sight as it rips into intestines. Luckily for Sidney the Horse Killer is entirely focused on its easy meal for now.
