    __________________________________________________________________

Personality: Similar to many women throughout the known world, Saori is shown to have a gentle and warm personality that augments her appearance. She is a passionate yet soft-spoken, and caring woman who uses honorifics when addressing those that hold a sort of importance to her, regardless of whether they are her allies or her enemies. Saori often thinks of others before herself, risking her life to help anyone who needs her, but she is not careless and demonstrates caution at all times. She is also extremely brave when she needs to be, going up against powerful enemies to help her friends despite clearly being outmatched, outgunned or outnumbered. Her selflessness and sense of responsibility are what pushes her to carry her burden of being the only survivor of her people, the Shadowborn - practicioners and masters of the SCA Fighting Style, or, Silent Combat Arts.

Saori is rather carefree at times, however, and revels the idea of a free spirit, refusing to be chained to anyones will. Potentially due to this, Saori reveals herself to actually be a rather stubborn and lazy individual, much like though both would gladly rise to the ocassion should the situation call for desperate measures. It should be noted that Saori is often in a drunken stupor, revealing a faint blush whenever in this state, but in this state, she is much more combat oriented and effective, often encouraging a brutally agressive behavior.

Normally, Saori displays a very relaxed personality, but often becomes giddy when discussing matters of love. She is not above using witty or sarcastic remarks when the situation arises. She is also confident in her natural sex appeal and not afraid to speak her mind as she openly admits to others in front of her. In fact, her beauty has caused almost every male to happen upon her to develop some form of lust toward her, though Saori knows not to pursue such folly only in spite of their lives being at stake should she do so. No matter the appropriate level of the matter, Saori is more than willing to admit her feelings and opinions to others, regardless of the affect of those notions on them - signaling that she is actually an extremely outgoing woman. It is shown that she is not above using her beauty to get her way, which she does often with many men, and often points out when she believes she is more attractive than other females around her. This, however, is due to the vain personality granted unto her by being a Dark Elf.

Even though Saori displays, most of the time, a cheerful attitude towards life, she has shown that she can become serious when the situation demands it. For instance, she doesn't tolerate people that talk down to her. When it happens, she displays a cruel usage of her powers and allows nobody to do so again, which has resulted in her going to the extreme of even cutting a mans tongue off because he insulted her saying that women cannot fight and are weak. She adamantly believes in the strength of bonds and friendship or kinship, and goes out of her way to protect the bonds she forms. She displays extraordinary skill when wielding a blade and a dagger in conjugation, being capable of attacking, defending, parrying and delivering devastating counterattacks. Despite her skill in head on melee combat, her real personality reveals itself when stalking in the shadows. Saori is among the elite assassins of her group, a crew of exiles from Atrium, Atrum, notably known as The Forsaken.

Motivation: Saori's primary motivation is to gain the pride by brutally slaughtering the group responsible for killing her father. Though she has not been successful trying to locate the group, nor even knowing the name of the group, she strives continuously to find out who they were and why they did it. This is the reason she wakes up, in the year of the Lord, to find her fathers murderers -- this is the reason she wakes up in the year of the Maiden, to find the reason why her father was murdered. This is the ambition which drives her to carry on, fight and survive. Until her fathers death is avenged in cold blood, she has vowed never to die.

History: Saori was born in the Greater Northeast portion of Atrum, in a brothel within the stagnant, yet dangerous city, of Fayshade. The Habbor Town of Shadows. As such, Saori had been born into the royal family of Fayshade, the Shadowborn. Her mother had died giving birth to her, and Saori really never had a complaint. She'd rather have been raised as a boy than a girl, despite her looks throughout life which rendered her among the most beautiful of the elven kind.

By the time she was twelve, Sierra had become one of the high apprentices under the leadership of her father, Kael'Thalas, attaining a regional status of diguises, deceit, tactics and trickery. Learning the art of con from the best, she was labeled throughout Fayshade as the woman who tells lies that are truths, and truths that are lies, and was among the most infamous pickpockets, pulling off minor, but largely influenced jobs given to her by her father or outlying clients of the group her father led. However, as much respect as she had with her father, before her departure from the group, she was introduced to a man named Athras, an infamous warfare coordinator and General of Atrium's primary elven military.

Saori had been offered a job as an assassin for Atrium's military by Athras, though she firmly declined his request for kinship, telling him "The only way she would join arms with a 'fullblood' was if they recruited the group as a whole." The General declined her pleas and decided against hiring her for the good of the military. Unfortunately, three weeks later, her father was mysteriously kidnapped, tortured and found mutilated in an alleyway. Saori, discovering this, fell into an angry pit of despair, which resulted in her killing a large portion of the group she was in under the former leadership of her father. Having her suspiciouns, she came to the conclusion that the man behind the deed would have been Athras, though this has never been found to be true, even now, as she searches endlessly for answers.

This resulted in her formal exile from Fayshade, which forced her to leave, seeking new allies or solo providence in other regions of Atrium, thus resulted in her finding the exiled group, The Forsaken. Due to this, her lack of social experience directly influenced her personal initiative and cause for Saori to have developed great trouble understanding how bonds and friendships can motive others or their actions - as the only feeling she really did understand fully was that of hatred and vengeance. However, she is very attentive and was always focused on the mission or missions at hand and carried them out flawlessly.

Saori, now, is distinguished by a total lack of human emotion, and is rather laid back and an aloof individual. Such traits she often masks with a false, cheerful yet transparent facade to further influence her dominion over the mastered art of conning and deceit. After much mental conditioning and training while in The Forsaken convent, Saori had suppressed almost all of her emotions, laying all of her loyalty to those who commanded her. This made is easier to accomplish dangerous, unpleasent or even unethical missions, which fueled her desire for piracy and revenge.

Despite her hardships, her finding of the Forsaken has led to skills that furthered her mercenary career, granting her the qualities to be noted to pay abnormal amounts of attention to detail, allowing her to notice if something was not as it should be or appeared to be, discerning combat tactics behind an enemy's attacking procedure or pattern, even to the point of scanning an opponents chainmail or platemail armor, finding remote locations which are capable of being easily broken or pierced, exploiting the weakness and killing opponents swiftly. Falling into a deep sleep, Saori slept soundly for some years under hiding and protection of the Forsaken.

Saori awoke. She looked out the window of her small abode, and it seemed to be raining quite a lot. More than it should, to be honest. Rain was something Atrum recieved daily though, which is why its climate was turned from a frozen tundra into a beautiful, tropical marshland. She didn't mind this type of weather though.

However, as her mind does operate strangely, she thought this may have meant that either someone has died, or a funeral is going on somewhere in the world - but who cares about the world at this instant while the rain is pouring down, and smashing harshly, actually. Though it was calming to the ear and skin, Saori felt the pitter patter signified depression, oppression and war.. All of these twisting emotions formed into the nether of anger and hatred within her heart, where the love for her father used to be.

However, over leaps and bounds an ally came, landing in front of Saori with a screeching of the heel, which prompted Saori to do a backflip and pull a broken blade from its sheathe, prepared to fight. Though she wasn't really surprised at the his arrival, he was an unexpected visitor as she walked out of her door, and as a Dark Elf in a world full of pain and deception, you must be prepared for anything at any given time. This was a well known fact. The member held his hands up, a sign of disarmament and resignation, putting up a handsign which recognized himself as a part of the Forsaken. He clearly signaled that a fight is not what he is here for. Quickly scanning his body and locating the Forsaken emblem, she halted her actions and put the weapons away promptly. She'd look at him, awaiting for him to speak.

She could hear and see him clear his throat before speaking. He was obviously a bit nervous about what he was preparing to say. This made Saori curious and annoyed at the same time. "Spit it out." She'd sigh. The exile smiled and gulped, presenting her with a mission document. Unfolding it and reading it, she scanned the paper and took in what it meant. 'Two targets, presumably sisters, from an unknown estate have been seen and spotted by the scouts of the Forsaken - and upcoming reports indicate they are heading toward the slums. Our idea is that they are trying to take over the city with some kind of army they lead. They are fully armed and expected to be dangerous. Miss Saori Shadowborn, I deem you worthy of having the honor of stopping these nuisances before they reach our gates. Be careful though.. The two could just as easily be a ploy to make you think an ambush isn't a possibility.' She smiled and nodded, patting the exile on his shoulder. "Thank you for your prompt haste." He would return her smile with one of his own, running off back toward the mission barracks.

Processing the idea of finally fighting someone on a mission, the thought processed through the mind of the Elven beauty, throughout the whole ideal that a mission like this would probably result in her either killing the two, or they could kill or momentarily disable Saori, herself, escaping into the rainy veil of darkness. She jumped into action, both of her jagged and rusted weapons locked and loaded.

Clicking her tongue, which would stand as a signal to the guards of the gate to raise the iron clad bars from the walled area known as Veitria, a small villa within the slums of Atrium, she watched as one of them looked down to see who it was, and waved his hand, telling another guard to start turning the pinwheel which concurrently lifted the gate through a system of pulley's and ropes.

She watched as the gate rose, walking through it with pride as she left her village to carry out the mission granted to her by the current Captain of the Forsaken, C’thun. As the crashing sound of the falling gates made its echoing debris of cloud and dust combined by water from falling cloud, she took the map out, studying it for her opposition. Multitasking was one of Saori's specialties.

Briefly reviewing the map given by the exile, she pinpointed their location and looked at their travel patterns, quickly figuring out the direction they were traveling and what they might have done next. Preparing a plan for interceptence, she sped off. Being of the Elven kin, she was forged for speed and delivering quick destruction. This was a benefit and advantage for Saori. She could distract, practically cripple and slow down opponents and hinder their movement through use of her herbalism – while she could deliver the death blow either from afar or up close while their back was turned through the employment of advanced combat tactics. A coup'd tat in the making. The world around her sped up as she reached top speed, leaping over rocks and gliding up small dunes of sunken plant and rock with ease.

After about fifteen minutes of travel, she had finally just passed the Jagged Marsh, a popular training site of Saori and the Forsaken alike, and compiled all probable information of the two targets's path of travel and came to the conclusion that they were most likely going to pass this landmark within the next twenty minutes - which would inevitably give Saori enough time to prepare a trap for the two oncoming raiders.

She looked around, taking note of the oncoming, hovering, clouds of dust and settling particles. However, being as though fog, low cloud movement and mist was common throughout Atrum’s continental boundaries, this serves as the perfect catalyst for a surprise attack, being as though the two women would have most likely passed through ones similar to this on their way toward the villa.

Positioning herself above the entrance to the now veil, the only path in which someone could enter the vicinity, she awaited their arrival above the tree infested entry way. The footsteps of the coming targets echoed throughout the area, prompting Saori’s adrenaline to kick start. Smiling, she quickly discerned their moment of distraction, and her assumption was right as they both stopped at the entrance and scanned the area.

Without hesitation, Saori grabbed the tree branch from under her, using her weight to swing herself downward on top of one of the women’s shoulder area. With the tightening of her toned thighs, and the twist of her lower body, Saori could hear the rugged snap of her first opponents neck. As she dropped to the grounds below, Saori utilized her enemy’s body and kicked from her chest, delivering a jaw shattering roundhouse to the other before she had been given time to react or counter.

The girl was momentarily stumbled, however, as Saori landed, this gave the girl enough time to unsheathe her weapon, which, concurrently, was a massive flamberge. The giant, cleaving broadsword, swung in the direction of Saori, whom ducked just in time to avoid certain decapitation. Saori proceeded to send a double kick to the inner calf areas of the girl, slightly weakening her ability to stand up. Her broken longswords wielded in hand, she dove backwards, performing a backflip lariat, throwing a jagged piece of metal she picked up from the woman she had just assassinated.

The projectile flung at high speeds, giving her last opponent almost no time to dodge. The cutting power ripped into the leg of the girl as she fell downward onto one knee, her greatsword slamming to the ground as her teeth began to grind in pain. “Agh.” She yelped. Now that she was disabled, Saori used her prowess in extreme finesse and agility to whiplash behind the girl, grabbing her hair and tilting her head back, delivering a quick, clean stroke with her blade across her neck. Blood spewed from the wound, splattering onto the girls former, and now dead, partner. Looking down, she noticed a small badge laying on the ground next to a body.

It was the symbol of Atrium’s military.. Notably, Athras’s division. Thoughts raced across the mind of Saori. Maybe they weren’t there to raid the villa. Maybe there was another reason they had come to Atrum’s poorest district. Two assassins sent from the military to a city in which the daughter of a man who was killed resides in? This could be no coincidence. In a flurry of anguish, she screamed in the pain of her memories. The once light red eyes transformed and blew up into a flurry of dark, blood red, hues. This is how, as mentioned, Saori discovered her elemental affinity. The element of darkness flourished and grew within her, fusing with the hatred which took the place of her heart.

Her prowess of Umbrakinesis took its place. Saori’s body began to darken, transforming her body into a complete form of shadow, anatomically identical to her normal form, however, maintaining the glowing red eyes she held. She looked at her hands, wondering what power she had unlocked. Finally realizing what it was, she spent the next 20 years studying and perfecting the technique.

Now, Saori continues to hunt for those responsible for her fathers death, notably, trying to locate and kill the General of Atrium’s military forces, Athras. She believes he murdered her father as a result of her rejection for his request as a child. However, now, with her skill in the dark arts, she has been shown capable of virtually transforming her homogenous matter, without any part of her form being more important than the other, which allows her to assume a 2D form, extend outward, or even become a larger shadow, blending into the world of darkness she once grew, and continues to grow within. Although rare and unpredictable, Saori has begun the research and study of energy physiology, trying to form her power of darkness into something more tangible and versatile for recreational purposes for assassination. Recently, the Forsaken has noted her trying to form her shadows into that of powerful weapons of primal dark magic and energy, even expelling the shadow magic in bursts. Through this training, she has effectively forced the former Captain of the Forsaken to step down, and taken her place among the group as the Banshee Queen.

ah time to be a dick.... as i read through your profile i noticed some thing that is not in atrum at all, that is snow and ice. atrum is a thick lush rain forest, but is also most of it is submerged in a thick black swamp, about over half the continent is like mangrove trees. granted its close to the south pole but its allot like Australia(sp?) for warm climate. snow and ice is mostly only present in Lymphae, granted hummus has mountains with snowcaps. i am pointing these out the most as i am creating the world map. alas i will use the town you used for a main city in atrum, but there is no platou high enoungh in atrum for there to be regular snow fall. might have been 3000 years ago, but if you read atrum description it stats 3000 years ago the whole continent sunk deep in too the ground.

not saying its not a great profile just, geography of the site is my turf. if you have questions about some of it i will be happy to answer.

also you need to add two points to magic as darkness element gives a two point bonus too. you have 70 points then two free ones from element.
