Lost in Awe

Koroseta walks through the gates of Mendefera and marvels at the city, this was by far the biggest city she had been to. She watches as different races walk through the streets and mingle. Where she was from, the races would be warring, no coexisting. She doesn't know what she should do first. Broke and without a job she figures that she should probably look for a job, but is unsure of where she should start looking.

A city guard walks up to Koroseta, there was a notice in his hands. As he stopped in front of the newly arrived he began to read it. “Milady, due to the lack of able bodied guard, we are here by recruiting every able body being to take up arms against the masses of monster stirred up by recent events. This order was given by the peacekeepers.” The guard then lowered the notice so he could look at Koroseta. Reaching in to a pouch he pulled out an odd looking token, handing it towards Koroseta. “This token will get you some basic armor and weapons from the armory down the road, as well as some gold coin given for enlisting in to the recruitment army. If you have any questions please ask the barrack captain. He will have more details any questions you may have.” The guard would then walk along looking for more people to recruit.

Koroseta took the token and watched as the guard walked away. She was relieved that the guard hadn't taken issue with her in some way. Where she was from, guards were dangerous if they weren't from the same place as you. She looks at the token and then goes to ask a local where the barracks are.

The city's streets where bustling with commoners going about their day, the dust was thick as they all walked. Marga coughed as she walked in be hide a cart going through the city gates. She was glade she had hitched a ride with the cart, Her cloths where easy to tell she wasn’t from around here she would have been mugged easy. an having no weapons she might have had to pay with some services she didn’t want to do. She was watching a lot of guards running around and she felt she needed to get some new cloths, as hers where obviously from ventus. “now where to get some coins, I but there someone who needs their pockets lightened.” She said this under her breath and was looking around. But there was to many guards. She began her way more in to town, when she noticed she needed a bath. “Maybe I should find an inn first with warm water I need a bath after this long trip.” It had been weeks since she left for here and she only had one pair of cloths.

Marga quite honestly was in a state of confusion. She just kind of stood there holding the token in her left hand. The look on her face would be priceless as she just started her way to the guard’s barracks. The blonde haired girl was working her way there but she then remembered she still needed to take a bath. This was going to be rather embarrassing to go talk to people smelling like she did.

Then it clicked in it was a guard’s barrack, what barracks ever smelled good hell she might just smell as fresh as a flower. This perked her mood a little more as she begun to examine how larges of a city this place was. She might want to say on the right path or else get lost in a sea of buildings. On her way to the barracks she saw multiple inns to stay in. this was good as she needed a place to rest her head.

Xantrex takes a stroll down the street looking at all the corruption that this city had to offer. Xantrex adjust his mask looking for someone to hire him for a certain kind of job. Killing was a skill that he had and he couldn't give that up for anything in the world. The sun gleamed bright onto him as he saw a lady stab a man in the streets taking his money and running out the town "This should be the town of sins" He thought to himself.

Xantrex looks at the man as he tells him about getting more people to fight in their war. This made no sense to him since he didn't care about what happened to these people. They were all corrupted people in his eyes who didn't have anything to give to this world, but pain and misery. Taking the token he heads off into the direction of the guards barracks.
